+ Miloslav Klaus

Having taken up the classical guitar at the age of eight, Miloslav Klaus went on to study at the Prague Conservatory with such excellent results that one of the reasons why a guitar department was set up at the Academy of Music in Prague was to enable him to continue at a higher level; thus he was the first to study guitar at the newly-opened department.

In 1982 he was a prize-winner of the prestigious Concours International de Guitare in Paris.

As a soloist as well as chamber guitarist, Mr Klaus has performed internationally in over twenty European countries and has toured extensively across Latin and North America (USA, Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, and Colombia).

He is also very active in co-operating with a vast number of radio, television and record companies, turning out numerous successful recordings.
